Lucy K. O'Shaughnessy

Lucy is a member of the Commercial Litigation Section of the firm’s Litigation Department. She focuses her practice in general commercial litigation with an emphasis on insurance and probate litigation.

Lucy handles all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, trial, and appellate work. She practices in the areas of general commercial litigation, products liability, mass tort litigation, collections, insurance coverage actions, insurance brokerage disputes, probate bond cases, business contract and tort matters. Lucy also serves as the Chair of McDonald Hopkins Women’s Committee.

• Worked as national litigation coordinating counsel for clients’ multi-state contract, environmental, personal injury, and labor litigation matters.
• Handled insurance litigation for several national insurance carriers including preparation of written discovery, depositions and extensive briefing.
• Worked as a national coordinating counsel regarding client’s multi-state asbestos claim insurance coverage issues.
• Handled litigation involving heavy and farm equipment.
• Represented several national surety carriers in numerous cases brought against its administrative and guardianship bonds.
