Professional Experience

Maria has substantial patent prosecution knowledge in the area of life sciences, including pharmaceuticals and medical devices, and has prosecuted trademark applications and drafted documents filed with the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Maria has extensive experience in all stages of patent litigation, including drafting of complaints, managing fact and expert discovery, preparing witnesses for and conducting depositions, and drafting briefs and motions. Before joining McDonald Hopkins, Maria practiced law for nearly nine years at a Boston-area intellectual property firm.
