McDonald Hopkins is seeking a partner level attorney with significant experience to join their Intellectual Property group in Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit or South Florida.

McDonald Hopkins has a national Intellectual Property practice with an outstanding client base that is committed to growing a broader and deeper footprint in all of its offices. Our team has strong IP support groups, with a deep technical bench of patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, antitrust and trade regulation, litigation, media and first amendment, and technology transfer attorneys to support IP and related matters. We are focused on accelerating the professional development of our lawyers by supporting business development efforts and exploring creative solutions for work efficiency, and are committed to merit based compensation and maintaining a sustainable law firm financial model that rewards growth, client service and expertise.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to developing business with clients having IP needs as well as work with lawyers in other practice groups to expand client work. MH is open to all areas and specialties in IP law including patent, trade secret, trademark, or copyright issues. Candidates should be ready to show their business development plan, relationships, and a meaningful portable book of business.
