Attorney John P. McNew joins McDonald Hopkins

DETROIT (May 23, 2017) –John P. McNew has joined the Detroit office of McDonald Hopkins LLC, a business advisory and advocacy law firm, as an associate in the firm’s Business Department. He comes to McDonald Hopkins from Giarmarco, Mullins & Horton, P.C.

McNew has experience in a wide range of legal areas including corporate law, commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, business formation, information and technology transactions, and digital media issues. He has worked with small and middle market businesses as well as startups.

McNew earned a J.D. from Tulane University, where he was a senior fellow in legal research and writing and was the Senior Articles Editor for the Tulane Journal of Technology and Intellectual Property. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts in English literature and a Master of Science in information.
