Former Rep. Steve LaTourette remembered as bipartisan luminary in Congress

Steve LaTourette left Congress in 2013 bemoaning its partisan strife and the increased difficulty of finding compromises to get things done.

Barely a week after a presidential election that divided the nation, LaTourette's former congressional colleagues from both political parties united on the House of Representatives floor to deliver tributes to the former GOP congressman from Bainbridge Township, who died in August.

They recalled his wit, his friendship, his sage advice and his dedication to Ohio priorities like protecting the Great Lakes and saving jobs at the Defense Finance and Accounting Service office in Cleveland.
