McDonald Hopkins welcomes attorney Emma M. Goff to its Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Practice Group
McDonald Hopkins is proud to welcome attorney Emma M. Goff as an Associate in the Litigation Department and the national Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Practice Group. Emma’s practice focuses on data privacy litigation, from breaches large and small to alleged violations of privacy and consumer-protection statutes.
“The collaborative and entrepreneurial mentality initially drew me to McDonald Hopkins. I am excited to continue to develop my skills as a litigator at such a well-regarded destination firm that invests in its associates,” said Emma.
Emma has developed a strong litigation foundation through both private practice and government experience, with a focus on complex legal research, case strategy, and written advocacy. Her work spans a range of areas, including labor and employment, aviation, and evidentiary issues, and includes preparing memoranda, supporting deposition preparation, and contributing to trial strategy.
She works to create a sustainable, forward-looking privacy strategy for clients that protects both their business and data.
“Privacy law is an intersection of complex legal issues and real-world impact. It’s what makes the work we do so rewarding. I enjoy helping clients navigate risk in an area where the legal landscape is constantly developing and evolving,” she added.
Dominic Paluzzi, the co-chair of McDonald Hopkins’ Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Practice Group, said Emma’s experience and energy make her a great fit for the team.
“Emma’s background in litigation and her ability to approach evolving privacy challenges with both precision and practicality make her a valuable addition. We’re excited to welcome her to the team and look forward to the impact she will have as we continue expanding our national practice,” he added.
