Demetri is an Associate in the Litigation Department at McDonald Hopkins and part of the firm’s commercial litigation team. He brings a diverse set of legal experience to the firm, with a practice that focuses on providing guidance to both large and small corporate clients throughout the litigation and appeals process.
Before joining McDonald Hopkins, Demetri worked at an Am Law 100 law firm where he worked on both business and real estate litigation disputes. Demetri has also served as an assistant county prosecutor in one of Ohio’s largest counties. In this capacity, he prosecuted a wide range of felony cases and has successfully represented the state in both bench and jury trials.
Demetri also has experience in appellate matters. He has served as a law clerk to the Honorable Justice Michael P. Donnelly of the Ohio Supreme Court, where he worked on an array of civil matters. In addition, Demetri has successfully defended a case before Ohio’s Eighth District Court of Appeals and has experience in administrative appeals.
Demetri earned his J.D. from Cleveland State University College of Law in 2019. While in law school, he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Cleveland State Law Review, participated on the school’s Moot Court team, and externed for the Honorable Judge Dan A. Polster of the United States District Court – Northern District of Ohio.

- Won a partial dismissal on summary judgment on behalf of a general contractor in a six-figure contract dispute case
- Obtained a defense verdict at trial on behalf of a major home warranty/insurance company
- Secured a dismissal of a physician and other healthcare professionals in a seven-figure medical malpractice case
