Overview
Brendan is an Associate in the Business Department and a member of the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group. His practice focuses on commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions, leasing and financing, as well as general corporate matters.
Prior to joining McDonald Hopkins, Brendan represented buyers and sellers in commercial real estate transactions and advised developers on the development and management of office, retail, and multifamily properties. He has experience counseling landlords and tenants in leasing matters and representing borrowers in commercial financing transactions. In addition to his real estate work, Brendan advises clients on entity formation and governance, has handled complex merger and acquisition transactions for publicly traded and national companies, and serves as outside general counsel to a startup specializing in risk assessment software.
Brendan is particularly drawn to real estate because it sits at the intersection of law, business, and the built environment, and he values the tangible impact his work has in shaping and improving communities. He works to understand each client’s objectives and tailors his advice to help them achieve their goals.
He earned his J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Ohio State University.
