Overview
Franchesca is an Associate in McDonald Hopkins' Business Department. As a member of the Executive Compensation and Governance team, she advises senior executives, public and private companies, and compensation committees on a range of employment and incentive arrangements.
Prior to joining McDonald Hopkins, Franchesca was an associate at an Am Law 10 global law firm, where she represented her clients in complex cross-border transactions and counseled them on corporate governance matters, SEC reporting and disclosure obligations, and environmental regulation compliance. She also gained in-house experience at a leading commercial solar developer, where she drafted and negotiated a variety of commercial and community solar agreements, managed project finance transactions, and oversaw regulatory compliance across a multi-state project portfolio.
Franchesca received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Chicago Law School. While in law school, she co-founded and was the first Managing Editor of The University of Chicago Business Law Review and represented her first-ever clients as a clinical student in the Kirkland & Ellis Corporate Lab Clinic. She also served as President of the Law Women's Caucus and on the board of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund.
When she's not at her desk, Franchesca enjoys poetry workshops, Italian cooking, antiquing, embroidering, and exploring Chicago's many museums.
