Overview
Lucia Argento is an Associate in the Litigation Department at McDonald Hopkins and part of the firm’s national Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Practice Group. Before joining McDonald Hopkins, Lucia served as an investigator with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office for Civil Rights (HHS/OCR), where she supported federal privacy and cybersecurity enforcement efforts. She has extensive experience in HIPAA and HITECH compliance. In her role at HHS/OCR, Lucia led complex investigations, collaborated with healthcare organizations and public institutions to enhance their privacy and security compliance programs, and provided technical assistance to covered entities to ensure alignment with federal regulatory standards.
Lucia earned her Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School, where she was part of the Journal of High Technology Law and Women's Law Association.
