Overview

At McDonald Hopkins, we help athletes, executives, pilots, and other professionals understand the procedures applicable to their circumstances should they fail a drug or banned substance test or fail to provide a test. A keen understanding of the applicable testing procedures, laws, or regulations of various governing bodies is critically important. The timeframes in which you must act to protect yourself in these cases are often compressed or expedited. If necessary, we can assist with investigations and proceedings such as federation or administrative hearings, mediation or arbitration proceedings, including alleged violations of the World Anti-Doping Code or violations of the Omnibus Transportation Employees Testing Act of 1991 by transportation personnel, including pilots.

If you have tested positive for a banned substance, there may be a need for immediate action, which, if not taken, could materially impact your ability to both protect or defend yourself.  We understand many of the protective actions that can be taken and can assist you with implementation of those measures. While these protective measures do not guarantee that an adverse finding will be reversed, they certainly can help increase the chances of prevailing or lessen the impacts of an adverse finding.
