McDonald Hopkins' Todd Baumgartner will be presenting on "Surviving in 2023: Affiliation & Financing Options" at the Ohio Health Care Association's annual Conference and Exposition in Columbus, Ohio.
The presentation will cover the pros and cons for several financing options for long-term care facilities.
- HUD financing – Analysis of Bridge to HUD and HUD financing option including eligibility and .
- Traditional Lender – Review of financing terms from a traditional lender.
- Factoring/Accounts Receivable Financing – Cover options for entities experiencing cash flow issues and the ability to bring in additional financing options.
- Affiliation process – Provide an overview of the affiliation/sale process including engaging an outside advisor and the time it takes to complete the process. We will cover the right time to begin a process and signs that you need to begin looking at a sale as an option. We will summarize the transaction structure of a facility or a portfolio with multiple facilities, including asset purchase versus a stock purchase and the tax treatment of a transaction. Finally, we will discuss risk allocation and favorable deal terms for buyers and sellers.
