Miriam Rosen and David Agay selected to Executive Committee

News
CLEVELAND (Oct. 3, 2018) – McDonald Hopkins LLC has announced the selection of Labor and Employment Practice Group Chair Miriam Rosen and Chicago Managing Member David Agay to the firm’s Executive Committee beginning Oct. 1.

Rosen and Agay succeed longtime Executive Committee members Steven Harris and William O’Neill.

“The leadership of our executive committee is of key importance to our firm, and the addition of Miriam and Dave will be a benefit to the leadership within the committee,” said McDonald Hopkins President Shawn Riley.

Rosen is based in the firm’s Detroit office, where she represents and advises employers on a wide-range of labor and employment law issues. She focuses her practice on counseling employers on day-to-day human resources matters to ensure compliance with complex issues arising from state and federal employment laws, such as the FMLA, ADA, and civil rights statutes.

In addition to being honored with inclusion in Michigan Super Lawyers and Dbusiness Magazine’s Top Lawyers, Rosen was named one of the Best Lawyers in America for 2019 — her seventh consecutive selection. She earned her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law in 1987 and a B.A., with high distinction, from Michigan State University in 1984.

In addition to his leadership role in the firm’s Chicago office, Agay serves on McDonald Hopkins’ Board of Directors and leads the Business Restructuring Services team in Chicago. He practices in the areas of business restructuring, business counseling, commercial finance, mergers and acquisitions and distressed M&A. The 1998 University of Michigan Law School alumnus and 1994 Pomona College graduate is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Turnaround Management Association.

Agay, who is licensed in Illinois and New York, is the recipient of several awards, including his selection as one of the Best Lawyers in America and inclusion in Illinois Rising Stars and Illinois Super Lawyers.
