Overview
Nicole is an Associate in McDonald Hopkins’ Business Department and the Mergers and Acquisitions Practice Group. Her practice focuses on corporate mergers and acquisitions within the healthcare industry, where business goals and regulatory requirements are often closely tied together.
Prior to joining McDonald Hopkins, Nicole gained experience in both healthcare technology and law. As a legal extern with a health care system, she supported in-house counsel on a range of healthcare regulatory and transactional matters, conducting legal research and reviewing and drafting agreements. Previously, she worked at a healthcare software company, where she led project teams and partnered with healthcare organizations to navigate complex technical, data privacy and regulatory matters, including the evolving regulation of emerging technologies.
These experiences give Nicole a practical understanding of the legal and operational challenges healthcare organizations face and how strategic legal guidance can help them achieve their objectives while supporting patient care. She takes the time to understand her clients and the people behind their businesses, providing thoughtful counsel that helps them overcome challenges and move forward with confidence.
Nicole received her J.D., magna cum laude, with certificates in Health Law and Compliance Studies, from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, and a B.S. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
