Overview
Suyung Song is an Associate in McDonald Hopkin's Strategic Advisory and Restructuring Department in Chicago. Her practice focuses on corporate restructuring, bankruptcy, and insolvency proceedings and strategic advisory matters for clients in a variety of industries.
Suyung previously served as a law clerk at McDonald Hopkins and while in law school, she was a judicial extern for the Honorable Timothy A. Barnes in the Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Prior to starting her legal career, Suyung worked as a youth behavior interventionist and then as an accounts administrator for two community health organizations in British Columbia.
Suyung earned her Juris Doctor with a certificate in Business Law from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where she was part of the Moot Court Honor Society and served as the treasurer for the Bankruptcy, Insolvency, and Restructuring Association and the secretary for the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia.
