New employment law posters required by DOL

On August 1, 2016, the Department of Labor updated its employment law posters which covered employers are required to display in the workplace. The posters contain updates to the Fair Labor Standards Act and Employee Polygraph Protection Act. The new posters should be displayed as of August 1, 2016, in a conspicuous place in all of an employer’s locations so as to permit employees to readily read them.

The posters themselves are available at the DOL's website.

Public corporations, such as JetBlue Airways Corp. and Molson Coors Beverage Company, are citing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives as a “risk” factor in their 10-K filings. The growing DEI pushback is a good reminder for employers that fairness and equality, regardless of protected characteristics, and based upon bona-fide qualifications, is a good compass by which to make employment-related decisions.
