Attorney Andrea Lim joins McDonald Hopkins’ national Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Practice

McDonald Hopkins is pleased to welcome Andrea Lim to the firm’s national Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Practice Group. She brings insight on the challenges businesses face in managing legal and compliance risks and experience working with clients on incident response, pre-breach services, privacy litigation, and regulatory defense.

Prior to joining McDonald Hopkins, Andrea served in-house as a corporate legal fellow at a national retailer, where she gained first-hand insight into the challenges businesses face in managing legal and compliance risks. This in-house perspective allows her to approach matters with a practical, solutions-oriented mindset that aligns with her clients’ operational and business goals.

"My experience working in-house at a national retailer gave me an understanding of the stress and vulnerability that comes from the client side, especially regarding data privacy and cybersecurity. Using my previous experiences, I plan to approach my client work with as much empathy as possible while also delivering timely results."

Andrea holds her J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and her Bachelor of Arts in political science with a minor in public relations. "Everyone I have met so far has been truly amazing and invested in helping me grow to my full potential as a data privacy attorney, and I am excited to see how much I will learn and grow here."
