Crain's Chicago names Megan Juel to list of 2026 Notable Women in Law

CHICAGO – Crain's Chicago Business has named McDonald Hopkins' Megan Juel to its 2026 list of Notable Women in Law.

According to Crain's, the list recognizes Chicago-area lawyers who "practice across a wide range of specialties, counseling clients from small businesses to giant multinationals, from families to corporate boards. They serve as mentors and guiding lights for other women in their firms and bring their expertise to their communities and nonprofits outside the office."

Megan Juel serves as Counsel in the Business Department at McDonald Hopkins. As part of the Executive Compensation and Governance team, Megan represents senior executives, public and private companies, and compensation committees in the negotiation, design, and implementation of employment, severance and change-in-control arrangements, and equity and other incentive compensation plans and arrangements. She regularly plays an active role in corporate transactions, representing management teams, buyers, and sellers in connection with the compensation-related aspects of mergers and acquisitions, financings, and public offerings, including pre-signing negotiations, executive and equity compensation and post-closing employee integration matters. She also provides counsel on associated tax (including Sections 409A and 280G), accounting and securities law implications, as well as related federal and state labor and employment laws.
