McDonald Hopkins welcomes attorney Franchesca Alamo to its Executive Compensation and Governance Practice Group

News

McDonald Hopkins is proud to welcome attorney Franchesca Alamo to the firm. Franchesca joins McDonald Hopkins as an associate in the firm’s Business Department and a member of the nationally recognized Executive Compensation and Governance Practice Group.

In her search for the right firm to grow her practice, Franchesca was focused on two key priorities: sophisticated corporate work and a strong, collaborative team.

“Naturally, I was initially drawn by the stellar reputation of McDonald Hopkins' Executive Compensation & Governance team, so my first prerequisite was easily met. But it was not long into my initial conversations with the group–marked by moments of warmth, candor, and even some attorney humor–that I sensed that my second prerequisite would be met just as easily,” she said. “I was right. From the consummate professionals at the group's helm to the associates who preceded me, I have seen in each of my new colleagues an unwavering commitment to excellence in every aspect of their practice: in mentorship, client management, and subject matter expertise. I so look forward to striving alongside them in pursuit of that same excellence–and to sharing some laughs with them along the way.”

Prior to joining McDonald Hopkins, Franchesca was an associate at an Am Law 10 global law firm, where she represented her clients in complex cross-border transactions and counseled them on corporate governance matters, SEC reporting and disclosure obligations, and environmental regulation compliance. She also gained in-house experience at a leading commercial solar developer, where she drafted and negotiated a variety of commercial and community solar agreements, managed project finance transactions, and oversaw regulatory compliance across a multi-state project portfolio.

Benjamin Panter, Chair of the Executive Compensation and Governance Practice Group, said Franchesca’s addition underscores the group’s continued momentum.

“Our Executive Compensation and Governance Practice Group continues to grow, and we’re excited to welcome Franchesca as part of that expansion. She’s a great fit for our team, and we look forward to supporting her as she develops her practice alongside our group,” said Benjamin.

Franchesca received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Chicago Law School. While in law school, she co-founded and was the first Managing Editor of The University of Chicago Business Law Review and represented her first-ever clients as a clinical student in the Kirkland & Ellis Corporate Lab Clinic. She also served as President of the Law Women's Caucus and on the board of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund.
