McDonald Hopkins welcomes Business Litigation attorney William Hale

McDonald Hopkins is proud to announce the addition of William Hale to the firm’s Litigation Department and Business Litigation Practice Group. His practice focuses on complex privacy and technology-related disputes, including class action data breach litigation, data breach response and matters arising under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Prior to his time at McDonald Hopkins, he worked on a variety of matters, including defending clients in complex, nationwide class action data breach litigation from initial filings through post-settlement administration. He also led data breach response efforts for corporate clients, including incident triage, breach notification, and legal risk assessment. 

He has defended Telephone Consumer Protection Act class action lawsuits, Fair Credit Reporting Act lawsuits, represented both plaintiffs and defendants in fraudulent wire transfer litigation, as well as commercial disputes involving breach of contract, director and officer liability, and trade secret misappropriation.

He is a Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) from the International Association of Privacy Professionals and is dedicated to improving his clients’ information and data privacy practices.

William received his Juris Doctor from Georgia State University College of Law and a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus on Finance from the University of Georgia.
