McDonald Hopkins welcomes experienced real estate attorney Morgan Harris to its West Palm Beach office
McDonald Hopkins is pleased to welcome Morgan Harris as a Member of the firm’s Business Department and Real Estate Practice Group. Morgan brings a strong background in commercial transactions and looks forward to continuing to grow her practice at McDonald Hopkins.
“McDonald Hopkins has a fantastic real estate group. The Palm Beach County real estate market is, and will continue to be, strong. I’m excited to join a team that’s at the forefront of that growth,” Morgan said.
Morgan’s addition is also welcomed by Peter Bernhardt, the Managing Member of McDonald Hopkins’ West Palm Beach office.
“I have had the privilege of knowing Morgan for most of her life, and I have had a front-row seat in watching her excel, first academically and later as an emerging leader in the legal profession. When Morgan told me that she wanted to make MH the final destination of her legal career, I could not have been more pleased, nor more inspired by the conviction and energy with which she expressed that decision,” said Peter.
Morgan focuses her practice on commercial real estate transactions, advising developers and lenders on the acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate, the origination, acquisition and disposition of mortgage-secured loans, and warehouse line pledges of mortgage-secured loans. She has represented clients in multimillion-dollar assemblage projects, complex loan refinancing and multifamily projects.
She notes that her passion for real estate law is rooted in its collaborative nature.
“The parties to a transaction will have some differing interests, but at the end of the day, they must work together to make the deal happen. I enjoy facilitating that communication and getting the deal across the finish line,” she said.
Collaboration is also something she found appealing about McDonald Hopkins.
“The firm culture at McDonald Hopkins is stellar. Our lawyers truly know and engage with one another, whether it’s collaborating on deals, networking together, or spending time together outside of work. The firm is committed to supporting lawyers as they build and grow their careers,” she said.
Peter reiterated the added value she brings to her clients and McDonald Hopkins, as a whole.
“The clients who follow Morgan to McDonald Hopkins, as well as our existing clients who now have the opportunity to work with her, will quickly appreciate the value she brings. They will all be better served as a result of Morgan’s transition to the firm. I am truly excited to welcome Morgan as a Member. Her arrival is an exceptional way for our Florida office to begin 2026, and I do not doubt that even more exciting announcements will follow as the year progresses.”
