Teresa Metcalf Beasley, chair of McDonald Hopkins’ Public Law Practice Group, was featured on several northeast Ohio news stations for her impactful work with the Western Reserve Ohio Links Chapter. Teresa is the president of the group, which is dedicated to service and making a difference in the Greater Cleveland community by mentoring children, initiating dialogues with teens, and conducting workshops and clinics that benefit women and their families, among other activities.

Western Reserve Ohio Links hosted its second annual Community Baby Shower in Cleveland’s Central neighborhood. The event attracted over 300 attendees who received services such as mommy massages, as well as supplies and resources.

Teresa told WKYC’s Leon Bibb that the event reiterates the old adage, ‘It takes a village’ to raise healthy, thriving and successful babies and children.

“We are committed to transforming communities through service. We have over 50 members. This is our second year hosting. We are focused on the central area neighborhoods, and we asked, ‘What do you need and how can we help?’” she noted.
