McDonald Hopkins welcomes attorney Evan Carson to its Litigation Department
McDonald Hopkins is pleased to welcome Evan Carson as an Associate in the firm’s Litigation Department. He focuses his practice on commercial litigation and construction law.
Evan said there were several factors that went into McDonald Hopkins being his destination firm of choice.
“I was drawn to McDonald Hopkins due to its unique history, the values the firm embodies and the entrepreneurial spirit of the employees,” he said. “I am excited to continue to sharpen my litigation and business development skills and the opportunity to work with highly accomplished and experienced litigators across each of the McDonald Hopkins’ offices.”
Evan represents clients in all stages of litigation, from pre-suit investigation through trial preparation, handling a range of matters including business disputes and high-stakes construction defect claims.
He previously served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Melanie G. May at Florida’s Fourth District Court of Appeal, where he conducted extensive legal research and drafted memoranda on complex appellate matters. Before joining the firm, Evan litigated family law and commercial disputes, regularly appearing as sole counsel in hearings and oral arguments, managing discovery, drafting dispositive motions, and negotiating favorable settlements on behalf of his clients.
“Evan brings a strong foundation of litigation experience shaped by his prior roles in both private practice and the judiciary. We’re thrilled to have him on the team,” said Mike Latiff, the Chair of McDonald Hopkins' Litigation Department.
Prior to pursuing law, Evan proudly served in the United States Army Reserve and Florida Army National Guard, completing Airborne School and earning several commendations.
